6. Report for 2008:
Food - 369.59; Clothing - 1549.66 Beds/Bedding - 629.64;
Household supplies - 942.94 Appliances - 2121.00 Furniture - 6037.12
Bldg Materials - 1744.32 Diapers - 455.88 Gas Cards - 400.00
Garbage removal - 125.75 Christmas purchases - 2521.23 Misc - 203.78.
And the total is -$17,100.91.
Those expenditures reflect only a part of the year’s activities. They reflect the formal individual requests by Human Service Agency caseworkers to which we responded with the above goods and services. Those requests were for one hundred seventy-six families. In addition, we hosted two give-a-ways and, our volunteers who worked those reported approximately 500 persons that received clothing and other supplies. This does not include the numbers of families that received emergency supplies of diapers and foods from our food closet to which caseworkers have free access.
Yes, God is great and we appreciate the direction given to us to accomplish that which we do.
7. We have a request from caseworkers for cleaning supplies to assist them with a new program. A special intensive casework intervention program is currently being implemented whereby caseworkers are assigned to spend four to six hours weekly with families at risk of separation. They indicate that their first critical need is for cleaning supplies to teach families to maintain a healthy environment.
