TREASURER’S REPORT: Carl Matteson presented a report. Currently we have a balance of $8,937.42 in the checking account. All three funds monies are now in one interest-bearing checking account. (Note: The IBM stock was sold at $118 per share. Today’s value has dropped to $88, thus we made a god decision to sell.) Treasurer’s report approved after motion by Larry M.1 and seconded by Sylvia S.

Introductions: Since there were new faces it was suggested that those present introduce themselves, state their home town, and their church affiliation.

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. Lynn Warso volunteered to chair the volunteer prayer team.
  2. Storage- currently utilizing a building at Tioga County Fair Grounds. The plan for use of the barn on Charleston Road did not materialize.

Good news- Gary Butters is offering SOHP two(2) large storage units at his Route 6(near the”Y”)       storage facility. A new facility is being built and will hopefully be ready for us by December.
Carl will be offering Gary a contribution receipt for tax purposes.
NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Christmas- In the past SOHP has sponsored thirty (30) children. Last year was an exception with our sponsoring forty five (45).

Donations are needed for Christmas gifts.
      A coordinator is needed.
A motion was made by Lynn Warso to send out a request for monies, clothing and food       contributions to those who volunteered and if Christmas sponsors do not give the monies this       year for gifts, SOHP treasury will make up the difference for the children referred to us by the       agency. Seconded by Sylvia Sumner. Vote was unanimous.
