DEVOTIONS AND PRAYER: Led by Carole Frank

MINUTES: Motion by Dick Frank and seconded by Maxine Mills to accept the minutes.

TREASURER’S REPORT: The current balance is $1,125.61. In addition we have a $5,200 CD.

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. The presentation  on SOHP at the Mansfield Senior Center was cancelled due to the weather.
  2. Carole Frank represented SOHP at the Family Group Decision Making meeting and training. Their objective is to use a positive approach to deal with children at risk issues.
  3. There is a good supply of diapers. The food closet has no needs. No Angel Food boxes need to be ordered this month.
  4. Bradford County has held two of their informational meetings. They have three offers of facilities for storage. They are starting to get volunteer forms and haulers. The Coryland Church will be making quilts for the Bradford County chapter.
  5. The SOHP banner is available for use in window displays, or at church or community events.

NEW BUSINESS:
      1. Thank you notes were received from the diabetes camp, Mansfield family and from grandparents for their stay at Ronald McDonald House.
       2. Habitat for Humanity has a Restore site in Williamsport with usable building materials available. If we have a large project we may be able to use their resources.
       3. Diney Robinson went to the Regional Roundtable and there was a lot of interest in our program.
       4. Volunteers are needed to set up a SOHP display be present to explain SOHP and answer questions at the “There’s More to Life” Event in Lawrenceville on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 -4:00.
       5. Marty Willard reported that there will be a Mission Central HUB  in Westfield. Mission Central has provided SOHP with cleaning supplies, clothing, candy and other items in the past.

Update on families:
016-08 - completed
031-08 & 032-08 – requests for transportation to Erie denied, Carol Campbell will do some transportation, Carl Mattison also offered

Families for January:

    1. - need twin size bedding for adult

047-08 – bedding for toddler bed, twin size bedding for preschool girl
048-08- high chair, baby gate, potty chair

The next meeting will be on April 16, 2008. Carol Campbell  will have devotions.

Prayer requests: Larry Miller 1,Tyler Bowshier, family of John Pelonia, Shirley, Barb, Bill Dickenson, home school families
