DEVOTIONS AND PRAYER: Led by Carl Matteson

MINUTES: Motion by Sue Wilber and seconded by Dick Frank to accept the minutes.


TREASURER’S REPORT: Balance- $1180.25 An additional $500.00 received. CD-$5000.00


OLD BUSINESS:

1.The Make it Your Own award winners will be announced on October 18.

2.Carl and Diney did a presentation in Lackawanna County.

3.Carole will be going to the Conference United Methodist Women meeting in York to do a presentation.

4.The diaper closet is presently full- $100.00 was given to purchase diapers.

5.The food closet supply is very low. Two Angel Food boxes will be ordered and a list of needs will be sent out by e-mail.

6.Carl picked up mattresses and cleaning supplies at Mission Central.

7.Bradford County update- their information letter has been sent to churches and informational meetings will be held soon. They are searching for a storage facility.

8.The bedding has been sorted. There is a need for twin size childrens sheets, mattress pads and pillows.


Update on families:

#116-terminated

#107-assigned

#106- car repairs- needs diagnosed

#121- got new water heater

 

NEW BUSINESS:

1.Volunteers for Speaker’s Bureau- Lynn Warso, Carol Campbell, Sue Wilber, Sharon Rawson and Rosalie Connelly volunteered. A training session will be set up so everyone will be sharing the same  information.

2.A coat giveaway will be held at Parkhurst Presbyterian Church in Elkland.

3.A number of dolls and toys have been received from an anonymous donor and will be used fro Christmas  gifts.

4.Carl receved an inquiry from Birmingham, AL for information on Seeds of Hope Partners.


Families for October

#128/130- need beds, dressers, washer, space heater, bedding, plastic storm covering for windows

#129- need help with cost of food for child with special diet needs- we need more information

#131- nee bedding, pillows, two single beds, 1 double bed, dishes, cookware, flatware

#132- need two single beds

#133- $50.00 for transportation to Ashland to visit family members- approval was given to purchase a      $50.00 Kwik Fill card


The next meeting will be on November 14. NOTE CHANGE OF DATE Carole Frank will do devotions.


Prayer requests: Canto situation, Mike and Melissa Geedy, AJ Fuller, Diney’s sister-in-law, Diney’s son-in-law, families of two girls from Williamson High School, Bobby and Pat, Carol’s son, Cheryl and Carl Matteson, family from Niles Valley
