Seeds Of Hope Partners Meeting

September 19, 2007

Meeting called to order by Carole Frank.

In attendance: Carole and Dick, Carl, Rose, Sue, Sylvia, Steve, Larry and Marian, Rosalie, Carol.

DEVOTIONS AND PRAYER: Led by Sue Wilber.

MINUTES: Motion by Dick and seconded by Sylvia to accept the minutes.

TREASURER'’S REPORT: no report available

OLD BUSINESS:

             1) Case Foundation: no report
             2) Informational meetings: Discussion of proposal to approach the local ministeriums. Carl proposed a new                         mailing to area churches with brochure included as well as an offer to present a program on SoHP.
             3) Diaper closet full; ongoing food cupboard needs; parent mentor requested for a client
             4) Bradford County chapter brochures are completed. Chapter in process of informational meetings.
             5) Work Day at First Baptist, Mansfield: Tuesday, Sept. 28@ 3:30, Sue Wilber in charge.
             6) 2008 officers ballot presented by Dick Frank:

                      Motion to cast unanimous ballot made by Larry, seconded by Rosalie.

    PENDING for October:

                #116- family dismissed from consideration after discussion of the situation; motion made by Dick Frank to                             sign off on family once water pipe is repaired and roof sealer is delivered. Motion seconded by Sue                             Wilber and carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:
1) Larry suggested that the e-mail address on the SOHP brochure be acitvated! Unanimous agreement!
2) Carl and Diny will be in Scranton on October 16th to present two SOHP programs for Lackawanna County: one to faith-based organizations, and one to businesses and like organizations.

FAMILIES FOR OCTOBER: no representatives present.

The next meeting will be on October 17. Carl will have devotions.

Prayer requests: Lawrenceville Methodist Church people, Kristen Farrer, John Hunter, Kathy Brogert, Bradford County family, Debbie Dieffenderfer, our troops. (Note: sorry if there are misspellings in the prayer list!)
