NEW BUSINESS:

Expansion of Ministry: Larry Miller 1 introduced Kay Schanbacher and Sherry Bodine from Laurel Home Health/Hospice. They explained that they work primarily with the elderly however there are cases where there is a family with children or a situation that has an impact on children. They have agreed to talk with their staff about their willingness to be involved with referrals to Seeds of Hope Partners. They will be responsible for doing their own referrals and making contacts with Seeds of Hope for their needs. Diney has offered to explain the process to them .
Steve Case recommended that they report back at our June meeting about the staff reaction to our program.
Following discussion a motion was made by Larry miller 1 to extend the ministry of Seeds of Hope Partners to Laurel Home Health/Hospice and the MH/MR  population at Human Services for a period of three months to be reevaluated in August to see what impact it has on our program. On motion made by Diana Robinson and seconded by Lynn  Warso the motion was amended to open it up only to the Laurel Health families with children. The amendment passed. The original motion now reads that SOHP will extend their ministry to Laurel Home Health/Hospice families with children for a period of three months to be reevaluated in August. This motion as amended was seconded by Larry Miller 2 and the motion carried.
Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis. If benefactors designate their gifts to be used for a specific purpose that will be done.

Diana Robinson reported that the food cupboard is empty. They are especially in need of food for the summer months as the children will be home from school. They need peanut butter and jelly, tuna, spaghetti, canned fruits and vegetables, soup, cereals, pasta, and Hamburg Helper. Marty Willard will check on getting cleaning supplies at Mission Central
