DEVOTIONS AND PRAYER: Led by Larry Miller 1
 
MINUTES: Motion by Dick Frank and seconded by Sue Wilber to accept the minutes.
 
TREASURER’S REPORT: Brought forward- $11,786.87 Receipts- $260.00 Expenses- $1564.64
                                                 
Balance-$10,482.23
 
OLD BUSINESS:
SOHP Brochures- The brochures have been printed by the Agency. A Thank you note will be sent.
Mentoring Program: Nancy Sidell will do training on May 16th from 4:00-7:00. Our regular meeting will          follow the training. The training will be for Seeds of Hope Partners and the Agency. Letters or e-mails will be sent out to those in the SOHP database who expressed an interest in mentoring. The deadline to register will be May 1.
Bradford County Seeds of Hope Partners Chapter: Carole Frank, Carl Matteson and Diana Robinson attended a meeting with Rev. Jay Morris and interested persons in Bradford County. Thye will be starting a chapter in the near future. $60.00 was donated the night of the meeting and put in our account until they get their own account set up.
Freezer for the Agency- Carl is prepared to purchase as soon as he gets the location and size.
Update on SOHP trailer: The previous family has moved out. A family has offered a down payment of $500.00 and $200.00 a month to purchase the trailer. After a discussion of our options a motion was made by Larry Miller 1 and seconded by Lisa Wood to offer to sell them the trailer for $500.00. The motion carried. The money from the sale of the trailer will be used to pay the back lot rent to Heater’s. We will transfer the title of the trailer to the family. SOHP will work with the family to get the trailer and lot cleaned up.

NEW BUSINESS:
 
Expansion of Ministry: We decided that we will not include emergency housing and scheduled vehicle maintenance. When we get referrals for vehicle maintenance and minor repairs we will continue to consider them on a case-by-case basis.
Further discussion was held on meeting the needs of the elderly whom are not being served by other agencies. Larry Miller 1 has scheduled a meeting with Sherry Bodine and Kay Schanbacher from Laurel Home Health/ Hospice to discuss this possibility. They would be responsible for making their own referrals to SOHP.
 
A motion was made by Lynn Warso and seconded by Larry Miller 2 that we invest $5000.00 into a short term CD. Motion carried.
           
Northwest Savings Bank in Mansfield is setting up a display on Community Service opportunities. Sue Wilber will have a display for Seeds of Hope Partners.
 
 
Families for April:
#39-07R-Mansfield family- gas dryer needs new fitting or seal-determine ownership of dryer- if family   owns it we can fix or replace, but we can’t install it
#40-07- Elkland family- mother has back problem, Dr has ordered a TENS unit for pain, insurance won’t         cover this, have found one in NY for $80.00. It was approved that we would pay for it
#41-07- Hills Creek- repair porch lights, check electric smoke detector, hook up gas dryer
 
           
Special request for plane ticket to New Orleans for boy to go to live with father so he doesn’t need placement. SOHP will pay for the plane ticket.
 
The next meeting will be held on May 16, 2007. Maxine Mills will have devotions. 
 
Prayer requests: Family of Amy Monks, Suzannah, Bill Connelly, 15 yr. old boy, Lisa and Deb’s mother, Gulf Coast Mission Trip, Seanna Brown, Virginia Tech campus and families of victims
