TREASURER’S REPORT:  Diana gave the report. Balance is around $5200.00.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Seeds of Hope Brochures: The brochure has been approved to be printed by the agency. They should be ready by December.

 

Mentoring Program: Diney is in contact with Nancy Sidell to set up a new date to train mentors. Diney made the recommendation that the next training should include more information from the Agency. She suggested that it would be a total of eight hours done in two sessions. One would be with Nancy and the other with the Agency.

 

Second Harvest: No further information. There is currently a critical need for diapers. An e-mail will be sent out encouraging SOHP to share this information with their churches.

 

Senior Projects: A senior at Wellsboro High School has requested to do her senior project with Seeds of Hope. She was encouraged to consider doing a diaper drive.

 

 Updates on Families Presented in October:

# 204- still need a crib- other needs for baby have been met

#206- can’t move trailer-other needs in progress

#207- contact has been made

 

NEW BUSINESS:

No new families were presented.

            There is a new site for Angel Food Ministries at Living Word Academy on Charleston Road in Wellsboro. This information will be given to the caseworkers.

            Diana reported that two churches have provided Thanksgiving meals. There is still a need for dinners for four families. She requested $50.00 from Sees of Hope to purchase items for these families.

A motion was made by Larry1 and seconded by Sylvia to give the $50.00. Motion carried.

            Sue reported that Tom Freeman from Blue Ridge Cable can advertise Seeds of Hope partners and our needs on the local TV station. This was approved.

            An intern from Mansfield University is working with the agency and is updating the caseworker’s request forms.

 

The next meeting will be held on December 20, 2006. Diana will do devotions.
Please bring non-perishable food items for the agency and a holiday treat to share for refreshments.
