Seeds Of Hope Partners September 20, 2006 Devotions and Prayer led by Rosalie MINUTES: Motion to accept the minutes made by Carole, seconded by Marty. Motion carried. TREASURER’S REPORT: Balance on hand September 20, 2006 is $4566.50. A motion was made by Sylvia and seconded by Larry1 to accept the report. Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: Carl and Larry rented a truck and went to Mission Central to pick up clothing. On the first trip they got 90 boxes of new children’s clothing, which has been distributed by the caseworkers to the families. On the second trip they got 140 boxes of gently used clothing for older children and adults. Forty boxes were used by the agency and the remainder was given to a church. Lisa read several thank you notes fro families and children who received the clothes. Seeds of Hope Brochures: The brochure is on a CD and hard copies will be printed by the agency. Mentoring Program: Diney is in contact with Nancy Sidell to set up a new date to train mentors. Angel Food Network: The caseworkers have been informed about the distribution sites in Gaines and Lawrenceville and are encouraging families to use those sites. Second Harvest: Larry1 will contact them to see if we would be able to receive diapers through their program. Senior Project Letters: Carole has sent letters to all of the School Districts. Updates on Families Presented in August: #170-Done #171 – Done #172- Done #173-Done #174-Done #175- Double Bed- no report on status NEW BUSINESS: New Families: # 176-Lawrenceville Family- problem with kitchen drain, need to check roof to see if it needs roof coat, family willing to help if directed. #191-Covington family- car needs rotors and wheel bearings #193-Millerton family- home needs winterized and multiple other repairs, if can’t be all done at once caseworker will prioritize Lisa and Marty will serve as a Nominating Committee to present a slate of officers to be elected at the October meeting.
