MINUTES

SCRIPTURE AND PRAYER Led by Carl .

MINUTES: Motion to accept the minutes made by Carl , seconded by Larry2. Minutes approved with two spelling corrections.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Balance on hand as of April 19, 2006 is $3, 685.00.

A motion was made by Lisa to accept report. Seconded by Rosalee . Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

Mentoring Training Update : Dr. Nancy Sidell presented a mentoring class at the Human Service Agency building on April 23, 2006 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Thirteen people attended the training.

Angel Food Ministries: Larry1 held a meeting with people interested about this program. A program director is still needed.

Work Site Protocol was presented.

UPDATE ON FAMILIES PRESENTED IN APRIL:

#155 Back taxes $89.91 Carole made a motion to pay back taxes, Larry2 seconded, Motion Carried

#156 dresser needed, dumpster

#157 Rotting bathroom floor

#158 Furnace and water pipe work

#159 Stroller (done)

#160 Two strollers needed

Family #117 had a roof replaced on their home by a work team of 8 people. An excellent job was done by the volunteers who replaced 700 sq. ft. of roof. A team will be sent out to do a porch roof and some wiring.

NEW BUSINESS

Katie Weatherbee presented a quilt that she made for a SOHP family. This was her Senior Project for the Wellsboro Area High School requirements for a graduating senior. A special thank you to Katie for a job well done.

A thank you note was received from a SOHP family who received beds and quilts.

Lola Petersen donated a handmade quilt to SOHP.

Camping brochures for SOHP children will be distributed to give the children opportunities to attend summer camps.

More SOHP brochures are needed. Copies will be made for distribution.

Twin Blankets are needed. A request should be made for donations from churches and other organizations.
