Treasurer's Report: $1,035.23 in account with 2 checks pending.

OLD BUSINESS:

Department of Human Service agency would like to meet on the issue of being the host agency for an Ameri Corp Vista volunteer

Mansfield University planning a Dodge Ball tournament in the fall to benefit Seeds of Hope Partners.

Ladies Day Out hosted by the Calvary United Methodist Church brought in $245.00 to date to benefit SOHP to date. Also the month of May at Calvary has been designated Undie Sunday. Diapers and underwear are being collected for SOHP families.

NEW BUSINESS:

Back to School Giveaway will be scheduled at the Wellsboro United Methodist Church in Wellsboro on August 18th and 19th. On the 18th. clothing will have to be trucked from the Baptist Church in Mansfield to Wellsboro. Volunteers will be needed to help sort and work with this project. On the 18th, the giveaway will be open from 5:00 PM. to 7:00 PM. for clients to come and choose clothing. Volunteers will be needed at 9:00 am. to help sort clothing on this day. On the 19th. The hours for the giveaway will be 10:00 am. to 2:00 PM. From 2:00 PM. to 4:00 PM. it will be open to the general public. Any extra clothing left will be given to the Seventh Day Adventist Church for their clothing program.

A work day needs to be organized for the storage barn and also to remove items that remain in Keeneyville.

One major problem that is persistent is the accumulated garbage of SOHP families. It was discussed if the ommissioners were asked to wave tipping fees to help clean up client's homes in Tioga County.


Possible mentor training to take place in August of 2005.

A SOHP picnic was planned for July 20, 2005 at 6:00 pm at the Human Services Agency Building in Wellsboro. Caseworkers and families, SHOP members and families are invited to bring a dish to pass, drinks and table settings . Contact 724 5766 or 1-800-242-5766 if you plan on attending.

A request was made that caseworker e-mail progress on work projects.

A waiting list for dressers is ongoing. A discussion was held on the possibility of holding a work day to build dressers in Sept. or Oct.
